The article discusses the results of a study that examined the structure of and hydrological processes within a moraine-dam complex system near Miage glacier in Italy using the integrated electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and electrical self-potential (SP) techniques. The ERT data showed a continuous free surface within the moraine-dam complex while the SP data were corrected for spatial changes in the upper unsaturated layer's thickness using the electrography principles. It concludes that assessing the long-term stability of moraine-dammed glacial lakes would benefit from integrated electrical geophysical methods.
