The article discusses a study on potential cases of KIs-V, a putative virus found in the blood, in France. The study examined the plasma of 576 healthy blood donors. It used a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) system in the examination. Results reported no positive signal for KIs-V DNA after agarose gel electrophoresis of PCR-1 and PCR-2.
