Abstract

This article discusses a study which investigated the use of GnRH agonist (GnRHa) for protection of ovarian function from chemotherapy-induced gonadotoxicity. Investigators identified 11 prospective controlled studies for systemic review and meta-analysis. The meta-analysis revealed that GnRHa cotreatment during chemotherapy can protect ovarian function. But, the protective effect will remain elusive until larger and randomized studies are completed.
