My aim, in this paper, is to think about an emergent tradition of literary biographies in Latin America: biographies written by contemporary writers (1985 - 2016) about other writers' lives (the biographical production of seven novelists: Osvaldo Baigorria, Ricardo Strafacce, Fernando Vallejo, Carlos María Domínguez, Jorge Edwards, Santiago Roncagliolo y Rafael Gumucio). Specifically, this essay proposes to analyze the construction process of this tradition in regard to the emotional bonds that link certain writers with others and provide reasons to tell the life of others. The relationship between biographer and biographed shows a contiguity line founded in literary respect whose effects are contamination, transference and infection. Two lives are tensioned in the writing and formulate an imaginary and loving space where practices and mechanisms are put into place in order to appropriate someone else's memories. This study uses mixed methodology of the convergent design to examine stakeholder perceptions toward a transferred model of accreditation for national Christian schools in Latin America. Parents, teachers, and leaders from five accredited schools participated in an accreditation survey. One parent, teacher, and leader from each of the five accredited schools were selected for a semi-structured interview. Survey results were very positive toward the accreditation, but there were significant statistical differences in the perceptions of the stakeholder groups. Interview results were also very positive with five themes that were confirmed by all participants. The author argues that the ubiquity of phantasies at various levels of mental functioning is undisputed in the current schools of psychoanalytic thought; however, she demonstrates some variations in their understanding of how the psychotherapeutic access to different configurations occurs. In the process of examining and acknowledging the central role played by unconscious phantasies in his patients' symptoms, Freud gradually broadened the vernacular meaning of the German word 'Phantasie' that refers to imagination and the world of imagination, conferring on it the specific features that came to characterize its use in the psychoanalytic vocabulary. Later, the expansion of the concept derived from Melanie Klein's clinical material obtained from child analyses gave rise to important debates. The author discusses the main points of disagreement that led to these debates, as well as their various theoretical and technical implications. Psychoanalytic associations in Latin America were strongly influenced by Klein and her followers. Thus, most of their scientific writings use the concept of unconscious phantasy put forward by the Kleinian school. Taking Kleinian principles as their starting point, Baranger and Baranger made the most original Latin American contribution to the concept of unconscious phantasy with their works on the unconscious phantasies generated by the analytic pair. Objective: The present paper will try to summarize the history of Latin-American psychoanalysis, which through many decades promoted, and in a certain way established, developments and conceptualizations that were recognized “officially” in Anglo-Saxon and European psychoanalysis only the past years. Or only known but not ever recognized, as such contributions permit a trough convergence between the “new” and the “older” founds. Development: The development of the paper is sustained in clinical labor, particularly themes which makes through the importance of the counter-transference in psychoanalytic session and psychoanalytic processes. Those were extensible worked from authors like Racker, the Barangers, and E. Pichón Riviere, and the river-plate psychoanalysis in general. The concepts of home and migration are briefly explored. Reference is made to the reflections of several writers on migration suggesting that migrants may experience alienation, even permanent melancholia. There is discussion of the need to mourn what has been lost and left behind, and of the challenge in analytic work with a migrant to relate to the pain of the individual's core self amid environmental and cultural losses. The paper outlines the history of an individual before her migration from Latin America to London, and tendency to idealize as a new arrival. The symbolization process is discussed and it is suggested that repetitive enactment in the analytic transference may have been needed for her internal reality of estrangement to be confirmed and differentiated from her culturally and socially isolated external life as a migrant. Only then could she mourn losses and symbolize her inner reality. It is suggested that through mourning and symbolization the significance of migration for the patient was worked with and transformed so that, following a second migration, an ordinary, good enough home could be made in a new place. The article analyzes the play "Feliz nuevo siglo Doktor Freud," by Mexican playwright, journalist, producer and psychologist by training, Sabina Berman and directed by Sandra Félix. The play features Ricardo Blume in the role of Sigmund Freud, Marina de Tavira as Dora, Enrique Singer as Freud 3, and Lisa Owen as Lou Andreas Salomé. It examines the questions regarding the theory and practice of psychoanalysis such as the question of transference and counter-transference. It also argues that no history of psychoanalysis in Latin America could be complete without taking into account these creative--fictive or artistic--developments beyond the clinical and institutional settings in the strict sense.
