The present article is an approximation to a state of the art about teaching formation and information and communications technology -ICT- in the Latin America context. It is based on the first decade of the year 2000, due to it represents the present where the new technologies have obtained a better expansion and appropriation in the schooling scenarios. The process of researching and analyses of the investigative developments in the field of teaching formation and the TIC, let us have an approximation to 46 documents from investigations done in different countries and in different universities, which let us establish 7 investigative perspectives in relation to the subject or object being studied, like this: 1. Teachers in initial formation; 2. Current teachers; 3. teachers of teachers; 4. superior teaching, 5. University and continuing formation, 6. Policies, proposals, programs and / or experience 7. Bibliographical Investigation and/or Question States. That facilitates in identifying the conception of technology, the trend in relation to the theory and methodology in the field of study, and obtaining as well, the recognition of diffusion organisms of investigative developments in relation to teachers' formation and ICT. The text is structured in three stages: A first stage that tells about the identified perspectives, together with a chart that summarized the studies that build each perspective. A second stages those points out the theoretical and methodological trends, the conception of methodology that emerges from those perspectives; and, the recognition of diffusion organisms of the researching developments. A third stage, and last part deals with final considerations relating to what is considered an approximation to a state of the art in teaching formation and ICT in the Latin America context.
