This paper focuses on the analysis of change management processes and quality management system on the main understanding of interaction platform. And deals with change management issues in a metal manufacturing company that are relevant to dynamic and flexible industry in the changing environment. It is evident, that a large number of enterprises fail to adapt to changes in time, moreover, they have not analysed interaction of change management processes and quality management to control of modern quality systems. In the modern world of business, quality is becoming one of the key drivers of competitiveness and success. Continual changes and progress have forced supervisors to find and implement cost-effective solutions for the change communication and employee support by providing feedback regarding strategic changes in the company. Main findings and value or the paper: From a theoretical standpoint a holistic discourse of interaction of change management processes and quality management system in the manufacturing company was highlighted and practical contribution was illustrated. The aim of this study is to show the importance of quality in the economics and social field and to highlight peculiarities, problems and interferences of education quality assurance at universities and colleges within the context of Bologna and Tuning methodology. Methodology: the paper is prepared using scientific, methodical literature and legal acts, documentation comparative analysis and case study methodology. The conclusions are based on the research as well as the experience of consultancy activities when developing quality management systems at Lithuanian universities and colleges. Particular attention is drawn to general and special competences and qualification requirements of bachelor's and master's degree. Quality of studies depends on such factors: management level of the activities of the universities, financing, up to date study programs, professional lecturers, training institutions, international integration of study programs, academic exchange of students and lecturers, evaluation of study quality, quality culture, clear system of motivation and others. These factors have to be assessed through the quality management system of universities or colleges and improvements need to be made. Most education institutions implementing quality management tools and principles confront with such major problems: complication of description of study quality concept and content; multiplicity of study quality indicators and their measurement and assessment delicacy; lack of skills using TQM concept, its principles, ISO 9001, EFQM, CEEMAN, EPAS, CAF management and accreditation models and quality methods; complication resolving university work into interdependent managed processes and process thinking formation; inertia and sometimes even resistance of a part of employees to fundamental changes. There are areas in higher education organizations that need specific attention in order to make impact to root causes instead of showing and tackling final consequences. The action plan needs to be developed by a top management to improve the system of assessment that could highlight relevant areas of improvement of main and supportive processes. The European education standards assurance and pursuit of quality in education have been announced as strategic aims of the Lithuanian education system in the light of new challenges the society is facing and opportunities offered by democracy, development of market economy and globalisation. One of the ways to achieve the aims mentioned above is the implementation of ISO 9000 (International Organization for Standardization) series standards in higher education institutions. The key aim of the standards is to recommend for an organisation how an efficient quality management system should be developed to encourage through its functioning continual development of an organisation. The article overviews specific quality requirements for marine training, the development of ISO series standards is discussed, concepts and structures of contemporary quality management systems based on ISO regulations are analysed. The peculiarities of the application of the standards in a tertiary school are revealed and description of the quality management system and its application experience at the Lithuanian Maritime College is presented. The article analyses the issue of indefiniteness of higher education quality management as a specific area of quality management. It analyses the participation of staff in the development of quality culture. It investigates the perceptions of university and college staff of their responsibilities to participate in quality management. On the basis of three dimensions (processes, functions and levels) it seeks to define the area of quality management, to reveal the approach of communities of Lithuanian universities and colleges to the distribution of responsibility for quality in the organization and to identify the level of readiness the staff at Lithuanian universities and colleges ensuring for quality management. The research determined that all staff groups consider quality management at individual level to be their most important responsibility. Their contribution to institutional assessment and audit of quality management system has a lower priority. On the basis of the obtained research results it is possible to assume that quality management at colleges is more advanced than at universities: at colleges, the responsibility for quality distribution is more agreed upon, there is more commitment to contribute to a number of quality management areas.
