The author reflects on the event held at the Royal Society, London, England on January 2-3, 2007 concerning the occasion of Uta Frith's retirement. She notes that Frith is internationally renowned for her work on developmental cognitive disorders, and her scholarly influence has defined contemporary research on autism and dyslexia. The author added that Frith's work has always been characterized by a strong commitment to the developmental perspective.
