The article presents information on a solar-energy converter for heating water invented by Michael Costen using aluminized Mylar. The converter prototype was installed on the roof of an aluminum foundry in Los Angeles, California. The prototype is beneficial in conserving energy. The converter can generate thermal energy amounting to nine kilowatt-hours per day.
