Introduction. Tobacco use among youth continues to be a public health problem. Since identifying attitudes can help understand why young people use conventional cigarettes, it is essential to have valid instruments to assess attitudes towards conventional cigarettes. Objective. To culturally adapt and analyze the psychometric properties of the scale of attitudes towards conventional cigarettes in young university students. Method. The study was conducted in two phases: it was culturally adapted to determine its linguistic validity and its psychometric properties were subsequently verified through factor analysis, Cronbach's Alpha, McDonald's Omega, and the ROC curve. Results. Participants included 635 university students with a mean age of 23.56 ± 5.89, 56.4% of whom were women. Exploratory analysis identified three components explaining 57.06% of the total variance of the thirteen items with high internal consistency (α = .875). Factor analysis confirmed that three factors had excellent fit indices (χ²/gl = 1.78, IFI = .98, CFI = .98, TLI = .97, RMSEA = .04 (90% CI [.028, .057]), SRMR = .03). Discussion and conclusion. The objective was to evaluate and describe the perception of social networks from the Technological Acceptance Model to describe the attitude, perceived usefulness, ease of use, trust, and perceived risk of social networks used by online psychology students. The study was non-experimental, transactional, with correlational scope. It was a non-probabilistic sample of 74 students from different regions of Mexico with an average age of 35 years, of which 56 were women. The Technological Acceptance Instrument (TAM) adapted to virtual social networks was used. The results show that Facebook is the most widely used social network. The Risk and Trust scales showed moderate means, the rest showed high means. It was found that at an older age the perception of Ease of use decreases. Objective: to identify the relationship between the attitudes of health professionals towards the patient who consumes alcohol and their alcohol consumption. Method: the study design was descriptive and correlational, the sampling was stratified with allocation proportional to the size of the stratum, a sample of 249 participants was estimated from Monterrey, Nuevo León, México in 2021. were used Non-parametric statistics. Significant differences were identified in the attitudes towards the patient who consumes alcohol and the global, lapse, current and instantaneous prevalence (p<.05), with higher medians being reported by the personnel who consumed alcohol compared to the personnel who did not consume alcohol. Based on the phenomenon of teacher de-professionalization that predominates in Special Education in Mexico, the present research aimed to explore the attitudes manifested by future teachers of this modality of the Mexican educational system towards mathematics, in the face of the professional competence declared by counseling against the learning difficulties of this science. The study of attitudes could be a prelude to indicate the type of mathematical knowledge to be developed in future Special Education teachers. For the above, a Likert-type scale was applied to 200 students of the Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from a public university in Mexico. The results (reliable under an internal consistency analysis or Cronbach's alpha coefficient, α = 0.85) suggest a positive trend towards the three characteristic components for attitude: cognitive, behavioral, and affective. In particular, the component that presents a greater positive attitude is the cognitive one, which shows that students attach importance to mathematics and the knowledge of the discipline in their professional training. Climate change in beekeeping is perceived as a relational phenomenon, and it is necessary to adopt adaptation strategies to maintain economic activity. Festinger's theory of Cognitive Dissonance helps understand the constraints to the adoption of climate change adaptation strategies. For this purpose, a survey was applied to explore the relationship between the perception, attitude, and behavior of beekeepers in the face of climate change in Mexican territory. It was noted that: 1) Beekeepers identified climate change as the main problem for beekeeping; 2) They exhibit dissonance between their attitude and their behavior regarding adaptation strategies, and 3) Cognitive dissonance is reduced through justifications for their behavior. Thus, the present state of dissonance is a limitation for adopting climate change adaptation actions, evidencing the need to modify the behavior of beekeepers, through training to inform and explain the nature of climate change and its impacts; to place the beekeepers within this context, where they can contribute technical elements that may allow them to reorient their work, promoting an objective and constructive perception, which will generate a positive attitude in the face of the challenges that climate change represents, so that they may modify their behavior as much as necessary in order to keep the activity profitable in Mexico. Objective: To determine the relationship of attitudes towards alcohol and alcohol consumption among nursing students. Method: correlational descriptive study. The sampling was census with a sample of 166 participants of a program of Nursing of two private universities in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The techniques used to gather data were the Scale for the Measurement of Attitudes Towards Alcohol and the alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test. Results: It was identified that 83.1% of nursing students have consumed alcohol sometime in life, 73.5% have done so in the last year and 33.7% reported having used in the last seven days. Positive attitudes towards alcohol consumption were associated positively and significantly with the sensible consumption (rs = 0.401; p = 0.001), with dependent consumption (rs = 0.263; p = 0.001) and the harmful use of alcohol ( rs = 0.219; p = 0.016). Conclusion: The findings show the need to design and develop nursing interventions to prevent alcohol and other drugs consumption and encourage the development of skills to avoid alcohol. In the last decades, research in the field of language learning has focused on understanding the motivational processes beneath people's interest in studying a second language (L2). For this reason, the attitude/motivation test battery (AMTB) was created in order to assess motivation towards L2. This questionnaire was adapted to the Mexican environment, nevertheless no validation process was carried out. The aim of this study was to assess the validity of the Mexican version of AMTB. A sample of 252 University students filled in the questionnaire. After removing 11 items, the instrument showed high internal validity and suitable factorial structure. The final version of the Mexican AMTB, composed by 43 items distributed into 9 dimensions, can be considered a proper instrument for assessing motivation towards L2 in Mexican students. Introduction: Same-sex marriage and adoption legalization constitute a growing and relatively new research field. Its study needs reliable and valid measures that allow to understand the society's perception about this new family order. Objective: Assess the psychometric properties of two scalesdevised to measure same-sex parenting attitudes: Attitudes toward Same-sex Families Scale (AFFH for its acronym in Spanish), and Scale on Beliefs about Children's Adjustment in Same-sex families (CANFH in Spanish). Methodology: AFFH scale is a 20- item measure designed to account for attitudes towards same-sex families. CANFH is a 14-item measure consisting of two scales, Individual Opposition (IO) and Normative Opposition (NO). Both are Likert scales with five response options (1. Strongly Agree to 5. Strongly Disagree). The CANFH was answered by 170 college students (78 (46%) males, 92 (54%) females; Average age: 18.4 SD 0.94), and the AFFH by 88 college students (35 (40%) males, 53 (60%) females, average age: 18.2 SD + 0.84). Results: AFFH items were organized into two factors that explained 46.14% of variance with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.91. CANFH items were grouped in a two factors structure that explained 65.49% of the variance (α = 0.94). Conclusions: CANFH and AFFH scales have adequate psychometric properties to measure Mexican college students' attitudes toward same-sex families and to assess the beliefs about children's adjustment in same-sex families. The aim of this work was to highlight the importance of innovation as an alternative to resolve the situation of low calving rate in calf rearing systems in Mexico. To do this, information published in various sources was analyzed, as well as from visits to individual farms. As a result, it was found that in 85% of the production units the use of low technology prevails because innovation takes place slowly; as animal husbandry management practices have improved little in recent years, requiring two cows to produce a weaned calf per year, in all agro-ecological regions of the country at any scale of operation. This situation occurs because the producers decide the adoption of technologies based on custom and the strengths of their empirical knowledge and not on environmental, economic or technical efficiency criteria; plus they believe that low productivity is a "normal" condition in the actual breeding systems. It is concluded that the generation, validation and transfer of livestock technology still faces the challenge of responding to the needs identified by farmers as a premise to generate positive impacts on rearing calves. From the Sexual Therapy positions, this paper studied the relationship of the affects associated to the masturbation with masturbation frequency. attitudes, religion and other variables of sexual behavior. It was a correlacional study with a trans-sectional design. An incidental sample of 395 Mexican psychology students (67 men and 328 women) was collected. The measure instrument was a sexuality survey. The attitude toward the masturbation, the masturbation frequency and the gender were predictors of positive affect. The attitude toward the sexuality and the low frequency of vaginal intercourses were predictors of negative affect. In conclusion, an attitude open to masturbation and practicing in with certain frequency are important requirements to enjoy it, having also weigh tile masculine gender. Youth's perception of democracy is important. We are faced with young people born during a transformative period in the Mexican political system. Their values and ideological tendencies are different from those of previous generations. They also exercise a different kind of citizenry. This must be translated into a favorable, but not unconditional, opinion of democracy. In this regard, one must also consider the socioeconomic conditions that favor this form of government. For this purpose, we introduced the variables of level of studies attained and socioeconomic level, and related them to the opinion that young persons have of democracy. From the three-dimensional model of attitudes, a scale with 15 reagents was developed to measure affective, rational and intentional dimensions in relation to the tanatological attention. The sample was made up of 130 residents of the city of Cuernavaca, Morelos (Mexico). The trustworthiness, validity and the covariance between the factors of first order were established. It presents the idea that, when the way prospective voters perceive the image of politicians, parties and candidates changes, the way they intend to cast their ballots can also change. Introduction: Hospital personnel are a group which has an influence on the opinion of the rest of the population about healthcare matters. Any unfavorable attitude of this group would be an obstacle to an increase in organ donation., Objective: To analyze the attitude of hospital workers toward the donation of one's own organs in Spanish and Latin American hospitals and to determine the factors affecting this attitude., Material and Method: Eleven hospitals from the "International Collaborative Donor Project" were selected, 3 in Spain, 5 in Mexico, 2 in Cuba and one in Costa Rica. A random sample was stratified by the type of service and job category. Attitude toward donation and transplantation was assessed using a validated survey. The questionnaire was completed anonymously and was self-administered., Statistical Analysis: Student's t-test, the χ2 test and logistic regression analysis., Results: Of the 2,785 workers surveyed, 822 were from Spain, 1,595 from Mexico, 202 from Cuba and 166 from Costa Rica and 79% (n=2,191) were in favor of deceased organ donation. According to country, 94% (n=189) of Cubans were in favor, compared to 82% (n=1,313) of the Mexicans, 73% (n=121) of the Costa Ricans and 69% (n=568) of the Spanish (P<.001). In the multivariate analysis, the following variables had the most specific weight: 1) originating from Cuba (odds ratio=8.196; P<.001); 2) being a physician (OR= 2.544; P<.001); 3) performing a job related to transplantation (OR = 1.610; P=.005); 4) having discussed the subject of donation and transplantation within the family (OR= 3.690; P<.001); 5) having a partner with a favorable attitude toward donation and transplantation (OR= 3.289; P<.001); 6) a respondent's belief that his or her religion is in favor of donation and transplantation (OR= 3.021; P=.001); 7) not being concerned about the possible mutilation of the body after donation (OR= 2.994; P<.001); 8) the preference for other options apart from burial for treating the body after death (OR= 2.770; P<.001); and 9) acceptance of carrying out an autopsy if one were needed (OR= 2.808; P<.001)., Conclusions: Hospital personnel in Spanish and Latin American healthcare centers had a favorable attitude toward donation, although 21% of respondents were not in favor of donating.
