The objective of this article is to give an account of the labor reintegration process in subjects in condition of drug addiction during their rehabilitation. Using a qualitative methodology, in-depth interviews were conducted with ten people in addiction in rehabilitation. Those who were interviewed have more than 15 years of sobriety and are part of a self-help group that implements the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Among the results, it stands out that labor reintegration is a process that involves several phases, one of them is the period of service where the subject is prepared in the practice of punctuality, responsibility, commitment, and respect, as well as in emotional management for the performance of paid work. The decision of when, where and what activity to carry out falls, in principle, on the sponsor and the employer, since it depends on the subject's progress in their rehabilitation, the management of their emotions and the establishment of non-conflictive interpersonal relationships. To assign work activities, support networks made up of members of the self-help group are used, since the subjects must be monitored to avoid emotional and consumption relapses. Introduction: In Mexico, alcoholism represents 11.3% of the total disease burden, 49% of suicides, 38% of homicides and 38% of injury cases, particularly in youngs of 15 and 25 years old. These data provide an overview of what the alcohol level generates in the behavior, and consequently, is the reflected in the actions taken by the person. Objective: To propose a conceptual network between the previous and current behavior of the dependent on alcohol in the rehabilitation process. Material and Methods: Qualitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study; with a sample of 8 subjects assigned to Group AA randomly selected. By the collect of data was used the instrument "Questionnaire to assess the behavior of dependent alcohol". The data analysis was performed under the concepts of Grounded Theory. Results: There is higher prevalence in individuals of 26, 27 and 30 aged. The qualitative analysis enabled a conceptual network between the previous and current behavior in the dependent of alcohol in rehabilitation process, which reflects an evolution of violent behavior a positive behavior by the influence of Alcoholics Anonymous Group. Discussion: The immoderate consumption of alcohol can disrupt the behavior and gradually turn the man in a potential aggressor; however, some may take conduct of isolation. The cerebrovascular disease (CVD) is the third leading cause of death in industrialized countries. In Mexico there are about 200,000 people who suffer stroke each year. The aftermath dominant impact on the quality of life of patients and family because their independence is limited. Here we present the approach of EVC with virtual reality in which stimulation is used by various devices to interact with the virtual environment and give the patient the feeling that is manipulating real objects, this therapy feel that is a interactive exercise and fun compared to the conventional. 6 patients were studied 2 women and 4 men he aims to generate effective synaptic potentiation thus increase practtico-induced neuroplasticity. Objective: to evaluate the impact of rehabilitation service in two primary care units (PCU). Methods: a comparative cross-sectional study was performed in two PCU (No. 53 and No. 51). The former has a rehabilitation service and the second one refers to a rehabilitation consultant at a specialized hospital. The variables evaluated were: amount of cases, days of disability, average days/cases, and average cost/case according to specific disease considering the five main medical disease required disability for general or risk work disease. We used descriptive statistics for results and Student's t test to evaluate significance. Results: back pain was the first cause of disablement; the average in opportunity care was seven days. The average number of days disability benefit for hand trauma, ankle sprain, and for back pain was lower in PCU No. 53, as well as for cervical sprain, but slightly higher for knee sprain. Evaluating the global incapacity days average and cost for each case, we found a significant difference to PCU No. 53. Conclusions: recovery time to return work was faster and lower the average cost in patients from to the PCU No. 53 which has its own rehabilitation service. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and Objective: One of the most important outcomes regarding social reintegration after a traumatic spinal cord injury is social reinsertion; despite its huge impact, very few studies in Mexico have measured community reintegration in these patients. The objective of this study was to analyse the working situation of patients with traumatic spinal cord injury at a hospital centre in Mexico., Material and Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study. Working patients, aged 19-55 years, diagnosed with traumatic spinal cord injury at a hospital centre in Mexico were included; a telephone survey was performed., Results: Eighteen patients were included (15 men, 3 women), with a mean age of 38 years (± 10.3). The most common levels of injury were cervical and thoracic; the most common Asia Impairment Scale grades were A and E; 17 patients were included at a rehabilitation programme at discharge; the average Spinal Cord Independence Measure score was 65.22 (± 35.11). Five patients were hired after the injury in a mean period of 7 months (± 2.9). The main factors associated with occupational reintegration were young age, lower injury levels, an adequate rehabilitation programme, high Spinal Cord Independence Measure scale score, and being married or cohabiting., Conclusion: This study shows the low return to work rate after a traumatic spinal cord injury, as well as the main factorsa affecting it; highlighting the importance of an adeaquate rehabilitation program with a multidisciplinary approach., (Copyright © 2020 Sociedad Española de Rehabilitación y Medicina Física. Selection of areas for restoration should be based on cost-effectiveness analysis to attain the maximum benefit with a limited budget and overcome the traditional ad hoc allocation of funds for restoration projects. Restoration projects need to be planned on the basis of ecological knowledge and economic and social constraints. We devised a novel approach for selecting cost-effective areas for restoration on the basis of biodiversity and potential provision of 3 ecosystem services: carbon storage, water depuration, and coastal protection. We used Marxan, a spatial prioritization tool, to balance the provision of ecosystem services against the cost of restoration. We tested this approach in a mangrove ecosystem in the Caribbean. Our approach efficiently selected restoration areas that at low cost were compatible with biodiversity targets and that maximized the provision of one or more ecosystem services. Choosing areas for restoration of mangroves on the basis carbon storage potential, largely guaranteed the restoration of biodiversity and other ecosystem services., (© 2014 Society for Conservation Biology.)
