The Marquis of Ensenada Land Registry is a fundamental source of the 18th century for the socioeconomic study of the territorial entities of the Kingdom of Castile. This word analyses the General Responses corresponding to a portion of the Kingdom of Murcia, with a very complex distribution of possessions at that time. The two enclaves analysed were subjects to the religious and military estate of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, forming a territorially dispersed encomienda. The base document, which requires a contrast with the Specific Responses, bring inequality between the abadengo (Calasparra) and subencomienda (Archena), within a general panorama of rurality, typical of the time. In adition, its social translation, beset by taxation, and scarce complementary activities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
