The article focuses on two cases of gastric schwannoma in older people treated in Nashville, Tennessee. The condition is described as a rare tumor of mesenchymal origin arising from Schwann cells of the neural plexus within the gastric wall. One of the cases involves a 73-year-old woman who presented to her physician with epigastric pain and weight loss while the other deals with a 73-year-old man diagnosed with a gastric leiomyoma. One of the patients underwent laparoscopy resection.
