Nevada is a challenging state for pollsters due to its sparse population and high proportion of Spanish-speaking residents. Recent polls have shown a wide range of results, with one poll showing Biden and Trump tied and another showing Trump ahead by 12 points. The state's rapid demographic change, particularly in Las Vegas, adds to the uncertainty. Nevada has voted for the Democrat in every presidential election since 2008, but Trump currently leads by 5.7 percentage points in the RealClearPolitics average of Nevada polls. Challenges in polling Nevada include reaching shift workers and language barriers, as a significant portion of the population does not speak English well. Both Trump and Biden have made multiple visits to Nevada, but it remains unclear how winnable the state is. The electorate in Nevada is changing rapidly, with up to 19% of eligible voters turning over since the 2020 election.
