The author gives opinion on the possible decrease in democratic enthusiasm for the liberal domestic agenda of U.S. President Barack Obama following the results of the gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey on November 3, 2009. He says the primary concern of voters in New Jersey is whether they should support incumbent Democrat Jon Corzine. He also cites two other elections which have implications for the country. He notes that the most substantial evidence of the diminishing democratic support will be provided by the election in November.
