The article reports on the entry of AT&T Labs in Florham Park, New Jersey for the Million Dollar Programming Prize of Netflix Inc. It mentions that Netflix formulated a competition for a collaborative filtering algorithm program which is 10% precise compared to Netflix's previous existing program that estimates movie preference of the viewers. Moreover, the new planned algorithm would be utilized as the tool for prediction of film ratings based on its previous ratings.
