The article focuses on the history of Italian and Sicilian owned groceries in New Orleans, Louisiana. It says that millions of Italian migrates to New Orleans to work on plantations in 1880s. It says that to make a living and have money to sent to their families back home, Sicilian immigrants opened their own businesses including barbershops, clothing stores and fruit stands.
