Abstract

The article discusses the highlights of the American Chemical Society's (ACS) 24th National Meeting and Expositions held in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 7-11, 2013. The event featured lectures on the relationship between chemistry, energy and food, as well as trends and scientific achievements in these fields. Chemistry of Energy and Food was the chosen theme for the meeting. Hans-Peter Fink of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research was given the Anselme Payen Award.
