Abstract

The article deals with the Multicultural Internship Program (MIP) for teenagers offered at Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) in New York City. The program was established in 2009 through a grant received by BPL from the Institute of Museum and Library Services/Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program. The program hires 170 high school students and runs from November to June. During the term, interns will be exposed to workshops, trainings, electives and fieldtrips.
