The article offers information on various topics related to arts discussed at the conferences "The Complete Art Teacher," on March 17 to 18, 1961 at the Lowe Art Center and Sadler Hall and the "Approach," on April 7, 1962 at the Flint and Graham Halls at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. It is stressed that the role of the teacher as an artist should consider on how to teach others the ways of objectifying experiences because reflects the uniqueness of the individual.

The article provides information on a study conducted by the Art Education Department at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York for a Community-School Art Program. The goal of the study was to gain a more realistic understanding of the child in relation to the real motivating forces so that teachers could work more effectively with the children. The study found that a decline in the integration of personality is usually accompanied by a decline in the aesthetic quality of the product. It also found that the school environment is frequently far too artificial as compared with home and play environment.
