The article presents the author's analysis of the representations of trauma after the bombing incident in New York City on September 11, 2001 (9/11) using the post-9/11 episodes of the television program "Friends." The author examines the explorations of Žižek on the meanings of 9/11 and the tele-visual popular culture. The author explores the paranoiac fantasy in the episodes which takes the form of a place where everyday life continues without anxiety, fear, and terror. The author argues that terrorism and the 9/11 is paradoxically both absent and present.
