The article offers information on the Domestic Workers United (DWU) and how they protect the rights of domestic workers in New York. It relates the case of an underpaid housekeeper who was supported by DWU through demonstrations and payback and apology demanded from the employer. It discusses the history of discrimination of fallible workers in U.S. and how DWU develops strategies to help them. It cites the membership meeting in Brooklyn Church where in women workers are gathered and empowered.
