Background: Clinical data such as menstrual cycle or uterine size often are not reliable parameter for pregnancy dating. Sonographic measurements of the fetus provide information about gestational age, growth and expected date of delivery. Aims: To develop a reference chart to estimate gestational age by ultrasonographic measurement of fetal bi-parietal diameter (BPD) and to find out correlation between two variables. Material and Methods: Cross sectional study was conducted on among 750 pregnant women of gestational age of 14-40 weeks, attending the Obstetrics and Gynaecology out-Patient department during one year period. Each fetus was ultrasonographically measured for BPD, the mean was used in subsequent statistical analysis. Statistical Analysis: It was done by the software SPSS version 21.0. A p-value < 0.05 considered to be significant. The previously published nomograms were compared by using unpaired t-test. Correlation & regression analysis has been done for BPD and GA. Results: Out of total 750 participants, 97.6% females confirmed their pregnancy by urine pregnancy test, 22.9% had dating scan, mean height was 163.004 cm. On ultrasound examination 78% participants had vertex, 7.6% had breech and 14.4% had variable presentation of fetus.Mean BPD increases 3.07 mm per week from 14to30 weeks and 1.93 mm per week from 31 to 40 weeks. For establishing a relationship between two variables GA & BPD, the correlation & regression analysis has been done.Sigmoid regression equation was the best for this study. Background & objectives- Gallbladder diseases are very common in Indian population. Ultrasonography (USG) is the commonest mode of investigation in such conditions .In view of above mentioned points we have conducted the present study on ultrasonographic findings of gallstone (GS) patients . Present study aims at determining the comparative prevalence of single and multiple gallstones and size of gallbladder(GB) and common bile duct (CBD) in patients . In present study we have also tried to find relationship of development of gallstones with age and sex of the patient . Methods- For the purpose of study we have divided patients into seven groups(groups A-G) according to age . In each group we have calculated mean gallbladder size and mean common bile duct diameter with the help of ultrasonographs . Then we will calculate percentage of patients ,patients with multiple stones, patients with single stones , mean gallbladder size and mean gallbladder diameter in each age group. Results- Gallstones patients are more of 25-50 years of age and females are more susceptible according to present study . There were more cases of multiple stones . Mean gallbladder length in all age groups is found to be less than normal. Interpretation & conclusion- Present study suggests increased incidence of gallstones in young population and it underlines the importance of ultrasound in screening gallbladder diseases. Summary: Neurocysticercosis (NCC) is the most frequent parasitic infection of the central nervous system caused by the larvae of Taenia solium. The prevalence of NCC is obscured due to variations in the methods used for epidemiological studies and often asymptomatic manifestation. The present study was conducted on 595 apparently healthy individuals belonging to the pig farming community of northern India to estimate the prevalence of asymptomatic NCC and to evaluate risk factors based on questionnaires. Diagnosis of NCC was based on neuroimaging, immunological and epidemiological criteria. Asymptomatic NCC was detected in 90 (15.1%) of 595 individuals. The evaluation of risk factors showed that age >15 years (P = 0.001), intake of raw vegetables (P = 0.025) and undercooked pork (P = 0.005), lack of safe drinking water (P = 0.003), inadequate drainage system (P = 0.049), no separate place for pigs (P ≤0.001), NCC related active epilepsy in the family (P ≤0.001) were significantly associated with asymptomatic NCC. The present study shows high prevalence of asymptomatic NCC in pig farming community of northern India. Further, asymptomatic NCC is associated with most variables of poor socio-economic parameters. Background:- Studies of non metric cranial variants have been a field of considerable interest to research workers especially because of their racial and regional importance. Material and Methods:- Total of 40 north Indian skulls of U.P. were studied for the incidence of metopism, a cranial variant in the present study. Results:- Metopism was found in 2(5%) of total of human skulls. Conclusion:-The presence of Metopic suture found to be of considerable regional and racial significance and it simulates fracture of frontal bone, therefore its presence should be properly ruled out in X-rays.
