Abstract

The article focuses on a study regarding the determination of drug resistance pattern among drug exposed HIV positive patients who fails to receive therapy in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The study reveals that drug resistance mutations are highly prevalent among patients exposed to antiretrovirals (ARVs) having unexpected subtype-specific difference. Moreover, protease and reverse transcriptase from the samples were examined.
