In recent years amid 2013-2024, Sino-Pak relations witnessed a qualitative transformation as bilateral ties expanded in strategic perspective. Pakistan has been forced to pursue a strategic collaboration with China in order to preserve the balance of power in South Asia as a result of the dynamic post 9/11 global political changes and expanding strategic partnership between the US and India. Under the auspices of the Indo-US strategic partnership, India is making most of its resources and collaborating with US in a number of areas, including energy, defense and security, so as to fulfill its ambitions of becoming a dominating force in the region and building blue water navy. India regional aspirations are too great for Pakistan to overcome on its own. In order to oppose India's imperial aspirations in South Asian area, the Sino-Pak formed a strategic alliance. This study will pose some queries about most recent iterations of this partnership. In this research, strategic partnership amid two countries is described using a Rational Actor Model. The research goes on to say that Sino-Pak will not be deterred from pursuing the project despite India's assertion that corridor route goes through disputed Northern Pakistani territory. The present paper analyzes the perceptions about cultural globalization in urban Pakistan. A household survey was carried out in different socio-economic strata of Lahore in 2011. Information was attained from the adult members available at the time of interview. The study has explored knowledge, attitudes and perceptions of both genders towards cultural globalization and its influence on the values and culture of Pakistani society. Findings of the present study showed that globalization increased job opportunities and improved the life quality of the people. Information and communication technologies had improved the parent-child relationships and given more social voice and autonomy to the Pakistani Women. However, information and communication technologies led to a decline in Pakistani traditional moral values by spreading obscenity and negativity and made life costly and stressful. The article discusses the history of archaeological remains of Islamabad Capital Territory and Rawalpindi District in Pakistan. Traces of prehistory, Bronze age, Aryan period, Gandhara Civilization, Shahi period, Muslim period and British period are visible everywhere either inside or in the vicinity. The Taxila Institute of Asian Civilizations has been engaged in exploring the remains of these ares since 2009. Several sites have been documented and many more are expcted to be brought to the fore in the future researches so that our past history can be reconstructed completed and tourism promoted in the country. more...

The article deals with the material of the Buddhist site of Tokardara, Najigram, which was excavated by one of the authors in 1995. The Buddhist sanctuary of Tokardara was first recorded by Sir Aurel Stein in 1926 during his archaeological survey in the Swat valley. The site offers a good opportunity for systematic excavation yielding promising results. G. Tucci, member of the Italian Archaeological Mission, who made extensive explorations in the Swat Valley and enlisted new archaeological sites, monuments, carvings and rock shelters, revisited the site in 1955. more...
