Abstract

The article describes a study which evaluated volumetric facial changes on 21 skeletal Class III patients after undergoing orthognathic surgery through three-dimensional (3-D) facial models, presented at the 6th International Orthodontic Congress held in Paris, France. The findings suggested that superimposition of 3-D facial models of orthognathic patients can be made through a landmark-based registration method to estimate the changes at different facial areas.
