During 2017-2018 and 2018-2019, about 5-8% of plants showed wilting and dieback symptoms (necrotic discoloration of roots and crown region) with collapsing of entire plant in several strawberry fields in Punjab Province (31.1704°N, 72.7097°E), Pakistan. 12-14 days of incubation, the plants showed similar wilting and dieback symptoms (roots and crown discoloration) as observed in field whereas no symptoms on control plants.
