The article critiques the motion picture "Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles" (Jeanne Dielman) produced by Belgian filmmaker Chantal Akerman. Cinematographer Babette Mangolte is addressed, along with the 1975 Edinburgh Film Festival in Scotland and Akerman's adherence to a female perspective in the motion picture creation process. The radical politics and aesthetics in the film "Jeanne Dielman" are examined, along with settings and feminism in motion pictures.
