1. Investigators from Binzhou Medical University Release New Data on Lung Cancer (Effect of 23-hydroxybetulinic Acid On Lung Adenocarcinoma and Its Mechanism of Action).

Abstract

Researchers from Binzhou Medical University in Shandong, China have conducted a study on the effect and mechanism of Pulsatilla compounds on lung adenocarcinoma. They found that these compounds can inhibit the proliferation of lung adenocarcinoma cells by blocking the cell cycle at the G(1) phase. The study also identified peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)-gamma as a tumor suppressor gene and demonstrated that the PPAR signaling pathway and mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS) production are involved in this process. The findings provide new insights for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma. [Extracted from the article]
