Abstract

The article reports that Evonik Industries AG has commenced its integrated methyl methacrylate (MMA) production facility in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in Shanghai, China. Klaus Engel, chairman of the Executive Board of Evonik Industries, stated that the project represents the second largest investment in the area that provides methacrylates. Engel added that the plant will produce methacrylic acid, butyl metahcrylate and polymethyl methacrylate molding compounds.
