Mitigating agricultural carbon emissions is pivotal for attaining the objectives of carbon peak and carbon neutrality. Utilizing a time-varying parametric Cobb-Douglas (C-D) production function, this study employs an enhanced Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI) decomposition approach, the Tapio decoupling model, and Monte Carlo simulations to investigate the determinants and decoupling dynamics of agricultural carbon emissions within Sichuan Province from 2010 to 2020. The findings reveal that: (1) Factors such as carbon emission intensity, agricultural structure, labor inputs, and capital stock played a significant role in suppressing agricultural carbon emissions, collectively contributing to a reduction of 484.12 million tonnes. (2) The unstable decoupling of agricultural carbon emissions from economic development in Sichuan Province. Capital stock, alongside carbon emission intensity and agricultural structure, significantly contributed to this decoupling. To harmonize agricultural economic growth with carbon emission reduction, emphasis should be placed on manure management and resource utilization in livestock and poultry farming. Furthermore, leveraging technological advancements to enhance resource efficiency is crucial for reducing carbon emissions. Simultaneously, strategic management of fixed asset growth, focused on energy conservation, can catalyze the synergistic effects of economic development and technological spillovers. Objective To reduce tobacco consumption and exposure to passive smoking in China. Methods Discussion consisting of 80 focus groups and 35 interviews were held in three rural intervention counties of Jiangxi, Henan, and Sichuan Provinces. Participants came from hospitals, schools, rural areas, and urban areas. Results Tobacco use and exposure to passive smoking were widely prevalent in the investigated schools, hospitals, county towns, and rural areas. Knowledge of the risks for passive smoking on health is lacking, especially in rural areas. Barriers to the control of tobacco use in public places include reluctance of administrators to implement tobacco control policies, lack of consistent policies, difficulties with regulations and enforcement, and reluctance of non-smokers to exercise their right to clean air. Conclusion To curb the current tobacco epidemic in China, tobacco control efforts must focus on reducing exposure to passive smoking. Based on the field outcrop and drilling data, combined with the stratigraphic distribution and lithofacies associations of Sinian-Cambrian, it is proposed that “Chengkou-Badong-Wufeng” intracratonic rift develops in western Hubei-eastern Chongqing. The rift shows an “hourglass” shape, spreading from south to north with a width of 60-280 km from east to west and a length of about 400 km from north to south. The rift was formed in Doushantuo Period of Sinian, and developed in succession in Dengying Period. In the early stage of Early Cambrian, it was the peak period of rifting development, and it declined in the middle and late stage of Early Cambrian, and died out in the Middle Cambrian. Under the control of the evolution of the rift, there are thick and high quality source rocks in the Doushantuo Formation and Qiongzhusi Formation. The Dengying Formation and Longwangmiao Formation have high quality mound-shoal facies and grain shoal facies dolomite reservoirs on both sides of the rift, among which the Dengying Formation has a reservoir thickness of 55-100 m and the Longwangmiao Formation has a reservoir thickness of 22-57 m. It is pointed out that Wuxi-Fengjie area is located in the superimposed development area of mounds and shoals reservoir of Dengying and Longwangmiao formations, adjacent to hydrocarbon generation center, which is easy to form two effective accumulation combination, one is the side product and side reservoir migrates toward the sides, the other is lower product and upper reservoir migrates vertically.
