Abstract

A new species of Melphidippa, M. willemiana sp. nov. is recorded from the coldest parts of Svalbard. This species, which has High-Arctic affinities, is described and illustrated in detail. A tentative comparison is made with the East Siberian M. macruroides Gurjanova, 1946 after the descriptions by Gurjanova. A key to the European Melphidippidae is presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
