The article discusses the development of a youth care plan on adolescent appropriate care in an adult hospital in Sydney, New South Wales. Around 2,500 young people aged 12-24 years are said to be admitted annually to the acute hospital setting at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) in Camperdown, Sydney. Findings suggest that hospitalization greatly affects young people. The Youth Care Plan was developed, the study says, to provide a framework for addressing adolescents' developmental issues, such as family relationships, in adult health care.
