Abstract

The article discusses the collection of trust fund taxes from the bankruptcy estate under the Bankruptcy Code in Texas. It states that Texas demand an immediate payment of the tax held by bankrupt debtors on the petition date since the tax is a property of the estate. It says that Texas made efforts to collect its trust fund taxes from corporate officers of the companies that failed to pay the trust fund tax.
