The article describes the strategic planning process and plan implemented by the University of Texas (UT) Southwestern for its library. The vital part of the strategic planning methodology is to provide several information streams in order to make the plan accurate, relevant and up-to-date information. Strategic planning themes aid individuals in bridging the vision statement to specific objectives. Each objective in the plan should be specific, measurable, attainable, results-focused and timely.
