A recent study conducted at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand, explored the effectiveness of using a methoxyflurane inhaler in combination with local anesthesia to reduce procedural pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). The study found that the group using the methoxyflurane inhaler experienced greater pain reduction during the procedure compared to the group using only local anesthesia.
