The article reports on the success of researchers from the University of Tokyo in Japan to constitute gallium nitride (GaN) fractal nanostructures which emit ultraviolet light at a room temperature. It found that GaN fractals were developed on a sapphire substrate through photochemical vapour deposition in a reaction chamber that has both trimethylgallium and ammonia gases. Moreover, these findings proves nature's endless inspiration to science.

A team of scientists from a joint research program between Tokyo University of Science and the Japan Science and Technology Agency have produced hydrogen from water through the use of gallium nitride (GaN) crystals. If commercializable, this technology is expected to lead to the development of fuel cells that run on water and can be used in a wide range of products. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
