The article presents an analysis on the comparison, contrasts and connections between British Indian Empire and Ottoman Empire in the 19th century. According to the author, examining the connections and comparison between the two empire exposes their attained pressure and persisting internal disagreement that resulted to the relative failure of their modernization schemes which pushes them to a more reactionary direction. The military structures of both empires presents a superficial and technical similarities which proves the usefulness of interregional analogies. In addition, the Ottoman Empire continues to establish a good alliance between Great Britain, while British India has no specific and formal independence status.
