The automotive industry continues to grow rapidly with technological developments. Vehicles are being equipped with new software and sensors which assist drivers. People have become familiar with the L1 and L2 vehicles with advanced driver assistance systems. However, the idea of full automation is still new to most people. In Türkiye, AVs are not present on roads. Thus, neither pedestrians nor drivers have been in interaction with AVs yet. This study investigates the preliminary perception of AVs among road users in Türkiye. The data were collected via a face-to-face survey. A binary logit and a random forest model were used to identify the critical factors in the positive attitudes toward AVs. Binary logit and random forest models resulted in similar findings. Age, education level, people who would feel safe driving in an AV, and who believed that urban traffic congestion would decrease were positive about AVs. The random forest model showed the same accuracy when the two models were compared. Most public opinion studies about AVs have been investigated in developed countries. Compared to many developed and developing countries, the labor force participation of women in Turkey is very low. More interestingly, the rate of the labor force participation of women had declined from the 1980s to 2008 although it had increased in many countries. This paper examines the major determinants of the labor force participation of women in Turkey by using binary logit model on the World Values Survey of 2007. It finds that high level of education, high level of income, and being chief wage earner in the household have a positive impact on the labor force participation of women in Turkey. While the ageing of women has a positive impact until the age of mid-30s, its effect is negative after the age of mid-30s. Marriage and the increasing number of children have also negative impacts on the labor force participation women. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper whether the bond according to a certain criterion for one time period in the future with the classic logit models and for a certain time period in the future with the panel logit model is successful or not have been forecasted. For this purpose financial ratios of the industrial companies listed on Istanbul Stock Exchange in Turkey over the period 1995–2001 were used.
