Abstract

The article examines whether there is an association between prehospitalization aspirin therapy and incidents of acute lung injury. The study used data from 20 hospitals in the U.S. and two hospitals in Turkey. Univariate analysis shows that the incidence of acute lung injury was reduced among patients receiving aspirin therapy. The conclusion derived was that there was no statistically significant association between prehospitalization aspirin therapy and acute lung injury.
