Public policy can be defined as the state of governments to act or to remain actless on a public problem by putting it on their policy agendas. Governments develop policies for a wide range of services by the scope of their authority/jurisdiction areas. When such policies are investigated, relevant evaluations can be made for the future, as well as the achievements/failures of the governments will emerge. In this study, Turkey's influenza (flu) pandemic policy was analyzed through the Covid-19 case by using stages analysis model which was firstly developed by Lasswell. The purpose of the analysis in question was to depict a historical/administrative picture of the pandemic policy process with its relevant actors. The literature has suggested that this new subject, the Covid-19 pandemic, is generally studied by researchers from natural sciences. Ultimately, this study aimed at filling the gap in the field by making a policy analysis of the subject. At this point, the analysis results revealed that Turkey's Pandemic Influenza National Preparedness Plan, generated based on the directives of the World Health Organization (WHO), was successfully implemented; thus, it led the fall of the probable cases and the number of deaths. Public policy analysis basically provides researchers and other relevant actors with comprehensive output to comprehend the effectiveness and the efficiency of the policies. Renewable energy sources are highly crucial especially for the maintenance of sustainable development. Therefore, most of the countries like Turkey, attempt and even struggle to have a functional renewable energy policy with the aim of having diverse energy sources and infrastructure. International actors such as the European Union (EU) have huge and practical impacts on the public policy making process of many countries. In this fashion, the renewable energy policy of Turkey is mostly shaped or formulated according to the EU acquis. The study is a significant effort to scrutinize the renewable energy policy of Turkey by benefiting from the energy chapter of regular progress reports (country reports) published by the European Commission which is the executive body of the EU. The fundamental aim of the study is to put forth the determinations and the expectations of the EU on renewable energy policy to conduct an extensive analysis. In this manner, various policy suggestions regarding renewable energy policy of Turkey is proposed and presented in order to make encouraging contributions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The research puzzle that our paper focuses on is the struggle of youth organizations to have their voice heard in public policy processes. We examine the implications of occupygezi in establishing, or not, a new relationship with the political domain and policy makers in Turkey. By drawing on a policy analysis framework, this paper looks at whether occupygezi opened up new windows of opportunities for social and political change for youth activists in Turkey. In doing so, we rely upon the results of a number of in-depth interviews conducted in 2015/16 in Turkey with representatives of youth organizations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
