The key vector in the development of modern post-industrial society, which is formed under the influence of informatization and computerization processes, is the intellectualization of all spheres of social life. This results from the dominance of intellectual activity, which takes precedence over the production of material goods and services. Consequently, there is a steady trend toward the intellectualization of production factors. This article explores the relevance and the need for the intellectualization of production and implementation of smart-specialization in the regions of Ukraine during post-war recovery as the only path toward realizing the country's sustainable development strategy. Introduction. Implementation of intellectual resources is necessary to form a new paradigm of economic development at the beginning of the XXI century. Problem Statement. Intellectualization is becoming a major trend of globalization. As developing countries are not competitive enough in these circumstances, it is extremely important for them to increase the pace of intellectualization to ensure their competitiveness. The purpose of the article is to investigate and establish quantitative relations between intellectual activity and GDP dynamics, as well as to forecast the countries’ economic growth on this basis. Materials and Methods. Cluster analysis for 44 countries and 40 indicators is based on a 10-year period. Results. The modelling and forecasting of Ukraine's development in the conditions of enhanced intellectualization are carried out. The influence of various factors of intellectualization on the country's GDP is assessed, and the basic and optimistic scenarios and the level of the impact on the country's economic development are calculated. Whereas resource factors are more important for Ukraine and other developing countries, resulting factors are more important for the developed ones. The modelling is based on the authors’ three-stage methodology for assessing intellectual leadership. It proves the positive impact of such resulting factors as high-tech exports, patents, trademark applications, and research and development costs. For instance, if high-tech export grows by 5%, Ukraine's GDP will increase quite significantly. However, almost any export growth can have a similar effect. Conclusions. Attracting foreign intellectual capital has a significant positive effect, which is also confirmed by the modelling of the Ukrainian economy’s development. The increasing existing level of research funding by 5% will result in Ukraine's GDP growth of almost $500 per capita. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ECONOMIC competition , *ECONOMIC efficiency , *ACCOUNTS receivable , *TRANSACTION costs , *STOCK exchanges , *INTELLECTUAL capital - Abstract
In modern conditions, intellectual capital is recognized as a priority type of enterprise capital. Its presence, quality and quantity serve as the key to the growth of their competitiveness and economic efficiency. Taking this into account, this article has systematized the existing methodological approaches to determining the size, dynamics and level of intellectual capital. An assessment of the value of intellectual capital is carried on the example of an enterprise with embodiment of methodological approaches recognized by the world scientific community. The result showed the existence of a tendency to a reduction of the intellectualization of assets, a low level of intellectual growth at the enterprise. The revealed state can be explained by the simultaneous effect of various factors: a low level of development and activity of the stock market in Ukraine, occasional transactions, when buying and selling shares, defines their underestimated (individual) assessment; revaluation of the value of tangible assets (primarily accounts receivable, inventories, financial assets), etc. A decomposition conceptual model for assessing intellectual capital in the context of digitalization has been developed, which will allow measuring the level of intellectual capital. The proposed model for assessing the intellectual capital of enterprises in the context of the digitalization of the economy is more effective than previously established in researches analyzed in this paper, since its implementation in practice is inherent with lower transaction costs. Also, another positive moment of this model is that the assessment process is faster and more reliable. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The methodological approaches to the study of the phenomenon of intellectual leadership of national economies and the imperatives of its manifestation in the global economic environment have been analyzed and generalized in the article. The formation of a new global system based on knowledge and information is accompanied by rapid change and significant stratification of the competitive environment. Systemic global interdependence generates new factors for the competitiveness of market participants, determining their appropriate strategic behavior to ensure high competitiveness and leadership, which, on the one hand, becomes a key component of public economic policies and effective management, and on the other hand becomes the subject of special interdisciplinary research. The mechanisms of intellectualization and the growing role of intellectual factors in the formation of the knowledge economy have been identified. There is a gradual increase in the influence of intellectualization on the formation of the post-industrial model of world economic development in the modern economic environment, deepening of the penetration of intellectualization in economic processes and the formation of complex economic systems, transformation of the human role in the paradigm of global development, which raises the issue of study of the development of the global economic space and its key features. The lack of unity in the interpretation of the essence of intellectual leadership and its subjects have been noticed in the process of generalization of theoretical positions, thus it was confirmed multi-structural, contradictory, transdisciplinary nature of this phenomenon, which is becoming the subject of study of not only psychology and management, its nature is changing, and moreover, its role is changing in the modern environment. The economic dimensions of global intellectualization have been revealed on the basis of a three-stage assessment: firstly - the resource level (accumulated logistical, financial, human and intellectual potential); secondly - the level of intermediate results of intellectual activity (of scientific and educational, technological, infrastructural, production, service, market nature); thirdly - the level of the final results of the overall progress (dynamics of general economic indicators, positions in world rankings and indices, etc.). The influence of the intellectual component on the final macroeconomic indicators and the international competitiveness of national economies has been studied. The disposition of countries in the global economic environment has been determined and paradigmatic principles of effective involvement of national economies in the global processes of intellectualization have been formed. Four clusters of countries have been identified on the basis of differentiation of countries according to the level of concentration in the dominant sectors of the economy, which made it possible to form models of their long-term development. Econometric modeling allowed to develop a scenario forecast for Ukraine, highlighting the importance of factors of intellectual leadership securement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
