The article analyzes the current status of student counselling in vocational education institutions, contextualizes findings on this problem and discloses contradictory points of counselling. It is justified that vocational education institutions normally view professional career counselling as the processes of dealing with and solving students' internal conflicts within professional self-determination. Career centres are positioned to be the implementers of the ideas of student career counselling. However, such research methods as theoretical analysis, comparison, pedagogical observations and logical generalization made it possible to specify some typical problematic aspects of career counselling within professional development of the modern personality, which are mostly reduced to the inconsistencies of the ideal and real images of the chosen career, subjective perception and ignoring of value orientations in relation to professional success and career growth in a market environment, irrelevant self-assessment of individual and personal qualities, etc. The authors of the research suggest some promising ways of solving the problematic aspects of student counselling in vocational education institutions, which are conceptualized in the mechanisms of a productive innovative interaction between scholars from the Institute for Vocational Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences (NAPS) of Ukraine and the teaching staff and are implemented in the framework of introducing the system of professional career counselling in vocational education.

Here, we present history and modern distribution of Typha laxmannii in Ukraine, its ecological and phytocoenotic peculiarities. It is a perennial herbaceous plant, alien species of Asian origin which is currently spreading in the country. For the first time in the flora of Ukraine T. laxmannii (under the name T. stenophylla) was recorded in 1902 in the south of Ukraine (Kherson Oblast). The species is distributed almost throughout Ukraine, but with a majority of records in the central and western parts of Ukraine. The association Typhetum laxmannii formed by this species is common for Ukraine. Depending on the ecological and geographical conditions and floristic composition, 3 following variants in this association were identified: var. typica, var. T. latifola, and var. Schoenoplectus lacustris. Phytocoenoses of this association are distributed almost throughout the whole territory of Ukraine, but the ecological optimum of the species is observed in the South of the country, in the steppe zone, on slightly saline, well-watered substrates. Based on studies conducted in Zhytomyr Oblast in 1995–2021, the expansion rate of T. laxmannii was observed – from the South to the North – in average 16.6 ± 1.09 km·year−1. From the sites of the primary penetration of the species into the region (Forest-Steppe zone), the expansion rate of it toward to the North was significantly lower (7.7–9.0 km·year−1) compared to that in the Forest zone – Ukrainian Polissia (23.4–31.9 km·year−1). Research on the modern distribution of 137Cs in soils of different forest site types in black alder (Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaerth.) stands was conducted. In forest litter, there is not a high percentage of its total activity in soil: in moist fairly fertile site type (C3) – 13.4 %, damp fairly fertile site type (C4) – 16.3 %, and wet fairly fertile site type (C5) – 3.8 %. The mineral part of the soil in moist and damp fairly fertile site type is characterized by decreased density of radioactive contamination of soil layers with depth. In wet fairly fertile site type, this indicator increases to a depth of 6 - 8 cm and decreases with further deepening. A 10-cm layer of moist fairly fertile site type (C3) contains 61.8 % of the total radionuclide activity in soil, damp fairly fertile site type (C4) – 68.1%, and wet fairly fertile site type (C5) – 70.1 %, correspondingly; a 20-cm layer has 75.4, 78.3, 91.9 % and a 30-cm layer – 80.9, 82.2, 96.0 % of the total radionuclide activity. Purpose. To study environmental crimes in the field of subsurface resources protection and provide their criminological characterization, namely, to determine criminological indicators reflecting the studied crime rate, dynamics and structure. Methodology. A system of general scientific and special methods and approaches ensuring an objective analysis of the studied issue, particularly, logical and dogmatic, systematic, documentary, and modeling and statistical analysis methods. Findings. We determined absolute, mean and relative indicators of environmental crimes in the field of subsurface resources protection in Ukraine during 2002–2021, their total recorded number (9118 crimes), annual average (456 crimes) and share in the overall crime structure over the past 20 years (0.1 %). The conclusion shows a significant growth of environmental crimes in the field of subsurface resources protection in the overall crime structure (from 0.01 to 0.24 %) due to a significantly higher increase in these crimes rate compared to the absolute overall crime rate. The calculated dynamics indicators showed wave-like changes in the recorded crimes number against their steady overall upward trend – over the twenty-year period analyzed, reported crimes of this category increased more than 14 times. Originality. Following a long-term statistical analysis, since illegal amber mining criminalization, the article provides the first criminological characterization of environmental crimes in the field of subsurface resources protection. Practical value. The authors substantiate their understanding of the essence of this crime category envisaged by Article 240 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code “Violation of the Rules for Subsurface Resources Protection or Use, Illegal Extraction of Mineral Resources” and Article 240¹ of Ukraine’s Criminal Code “Illegal Mining, Sale, Acquisition, Transfer, Sending, Transportation, and Processing of Amber”. The calculated indicators of the rate, dynamics and structure of the studied crimes are of standalone significance for academic research and law enforcement activities and create an appropriate basis for the information provision of combating environmental crimes in the field of subsoil protection being a prerequisite for developing an appropriate system of specified crime prevention measures. The article presents the results of studies of a series of species identifications of the genus Lemna (Lemnaceae) conducted in 2019. Duckweed samples were taken from eight localities in the northern regions of Ukraine and identified to species using morphological and molecular markers (barcoding). A new alien species of duckweed for Ukraine—lesser duckweed (Lemna aequinoctialis Welw.)—was discovered, to which this study is devoted. All other samples belonged to Lemna minor. The article presents the most complete description of the distribution of L. aequinoctialis Welw. in Europe, and also contains updated data on the species distribution of duckweeds in Ukraine. Six species of the genus Lemna are now known in Ukraine—three native and three alien. The ecological requirements of L. aequinoctialis are similar to those of L. minor. We examined the morphological similarities and differences between these species, and confirmed the results by molecular barcoding using the plastid regions of the atpF‐atpH and psbK‐psbI intergenic spacers. A method of structural and parametric assessment of the object state has been developed. The essence of the method is to provide an analysis of the current state of the object under analysis. The key difference of the developed method is the use of advanced procedures for processing undefined initial data, selection, crossover, mutation, formation of the initial population, advanced procedure for training artificial neural networks and rounding coordinates. The use of the method of structural-parametric assessment of the object state allows increasing the efficiency of object state assessment. An objective and complete analysis is achieved using an advanced algorithm of evolution strategies. The essence of the training procedure is the training of synaptic weights of the artificial neural network, the type and parameters of the membership function, the architecture of individual elements and the architecture of the artificial neural network as a whole. An example of using the proposed method in assessing the operational situation of the troops (forces) grouping is given. The developed method is 30–35 % more efficient in terms of the fitness of the obtained solution compared to the conventional algorithm of evolution strategies. Also, the proposed method is 20–25 % better than the modified algorithms of evolution strategies due to the use of additional improved procedures according to the criterion of fitness of the obtained solution. The aim of the article is to study the economic prerequisites for the development of ecological culture of future transport professionals and analyze foreign experience of ecological education of students to adapt their best practices to Ukrainian realities and productive use of achievements in training future transport professionals. The theoretical significance of the article is to determine the economic prerequisites for the development of ecological culture of future transport professionals; to summarize the results of theoretical and comparative analysis of ecological education in foreign countries, establish opportunities to adapt best European practices in the educational context of Ukrainian realities; to determine the preconditions for the development of ecological culture of students of vocational and pre-higher professional educational institutions; to reveal the challenges facing the field of vocational education and training in foreign countries, which address the greening of education. The practical significance of the article is that based on the study of foreign experience, the authors offer recommendations for the introduction of foreign experience during the process of development of ecological culture of future transport professionals in Ukraine. It was found that the state of ecological consciousness of society directly depends on the economic prerequisites for the development of ecological culture of future professionals in various fields of industrial production, the state's attitude to the development of ecological culture of every citizen. The level of ecological culture of society is positioned as one of the determining factors of economic development of the state, health of the nation, unity of positions on preservation of the natural environment, prevention of its pollution by harmful wastes of production and human life. The study proved that encological education is designed to provide future professionals with scientific knowledge about the relationship between nature and society, to help understand the multifaceted importance of nature for society in general and each person in particular, to form an understanding that nature is the basis of human existence and sugnificant part of nature, to cultivate a conscious and caring attitude to it, a sense of responsibility for the environment, to develop creative activity for the effective use, restoration and protection of the environment. Research background: Financial stability is one of the key tasks in the functioning of the country's financial system. National financial systems have significant differences in the level of their development, structure and approaches to regulation. There are no uniform world standards for methods and indicators of assessing financial stability. International financial institutions, including the International Monetary Fund, only outline certain areas and offer an indicative list of indicators that should be taken into account. Purpose of the article: Taking into account the peculiarities of the subject and object structure of Ukraine's financial system, this study formed groups of indicators that reflect the state of financial depth, level of access and efficiency of the financial system, systematized by subject (financial institutions) and object financial markets) characteristics. Methods: The basis for the formation of a set of indicators is a matrix of characteristics of the financial system's stability, which is formed according to the principle of 4x2 proposed by experts of the International Monetary Fund. The list of indicators to calculate the integrated indicator that characterizes the stability of the financial system of Ukraine, covers the period 2007-2019 and includes 29 indicators that take into account the peculiarities of its formation and development. Harrington's desirability function is used to determine the integrated indicator that characterizes the state of financial stability. Findings & value added: The intermediate calculations obtained by modeling groups of indicators showed that the level of access to the financial system and the state of its depth are balanced during the study period (the range of variation of integrated indicators for these groups is minimal -- from 0.1 to 0.18), is at a satisfactory level and the basis for ensuring the financial system's stability. Conversely, the efficiency of the financial system is low, and characterized by a high degree of volatility (range of variation -- 0.51). The obtained integrated indicator, which is in the range from 0.41 to 0.54 on the Harrington desirability scale, makes it possible to assess the state of the financial system's stability in Ukraine as satisfactory, but with a high level of sensitivity to both external and internal shocks. The aim of the article is to analize the current state of design education in Ukraine, update the training curicula of future designers to start their own business and successful entrepreneurship activities in the field of design as a prerequisite for self-realization of professionals in a market economy, identify components of entrepreneurial competence and substantiate recommendations to develop it during the training of future designers. The theoretical significance of the article is that it is analyzed the current state of design education from the standpoint of preparing students for self-realization in a market economy and successful professional activity in a society of sustainable development, which is possible by starting their own successful business; the essence of the main directions and modern approaches to the development of entrepreneurial competence of future designers are revealed; the preconditions for effective training of future designers for entrepreneurship are determined; empirical data obtained as a result of implementation of the authots’ consept are analyzed; the main directions of design that will be successful for business activities are revealed; the updated content and effective ways of development of entrepreneurial competence in design education are presented. The practical significance of the article is to present the program of the authors’ modular course, the introduction of which will promote the development of entrepreneurial competence of future designers, as well as practical cases of business plans and business projects are presented. It ts characterized the features of entrepreneurial activity in the field of design as a process of development of innovative ideas and projects of young people — authors of extraordinary methods and technologies, inventors of new ways of society development. According to the qualification characteristics of the profession, the main professional functions of a designer are defined, different types of entrepreneurs in the field of design are systematized. Creative and innovative ideas are transformed by entrepreneurs in the field of design into sustainable business models, various innovative approaches are introduced. Today it is possible to identify a wide range of entrepreneurs in the cultural sector, who operate in the field of culture and art, engaged in various fields of creative industries. Problems and prospects of training of future designers for entrepreneurial activity are revealed, directions of further searches are outlined. The methodological basis for training of future designers are presented as an amalgam of socio-cultural, utilitarianconsumer and aesthetic-entrepreneurial functions of design. It is substantiated that entrepreneurs in the field of design must have a broad mindset, high intellectual potential and level of culture, ability to self-improvement solutions which have to be implemented in design education. The study shows the biodiversity of Utricularia australis from western to northern regions of Ukraine. The environmental conditions of Ukraine are favourable for the spread and formation of phytocenosis involving U. australis, especially on thermoclimatic, cryothermal and continental scale. A broader range of the species’ relation to humidity has been recorded. The research outcome shows the existence of the species in conditions from shallow, parched reservoirs to deep water habitats which allows the species to withstand temporary drying of reservoirs in summer periods. The resilience of U. australis to some water quality parameters, including nitrogen, phosphorus, iron content, colour, pH and organic contamination was higher than in previous studies and Tsyganov’s ecological scales. Thus, due to its wide range of tolerance to the majority of environmental factors, U. australis tends to spread in contemporary climatic conditions in Ukraine. Considering that the species has category “vulnerable” in the country and is listed in the red data book of Ukraine, its conservation status is likely to be revised further. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The paper deals with the modern conditions of crowdfunding as a real possibility to finance start-ups in Ukraine. The objective of the paper is to define the relevant trends of crowdfunding worldwide and summarize practical aspects of its development in Ukraine. Method. The observation, comparison, generalization, grouping scientific methods are applied in the paper. Results. Crowdfunding is still growing in all regions of the world but due to its gradual saturation and growing popularity of others sources of funding such as cryptocurrency, analysts forecast the crowdfunding industry CAGR of over 17% from 2018 to 2022 in comparison with the early years (2012–2015) when it was about 200%. The outlook is changing rapidly with the ongoing industry expansion. Two countries dominating the world’s crowdfunding market are China and the United States. During the last years, P2P lending is the most popular crowdfunding type with a share of approximately 76%. It is caused by the great high number of its advantages: the low-level costs of arranging loans; the independent decision of the investor; there are practically no failures; the principle of self-service; average loan rates are lower than online microloans; the personal data of clients is obscured. The examples demonstrate that P2P lending is in demand in Ukraine and can become widespread in the near future. It can be the first step to expand crowdfunding in Ukraine. World experience shows that Ukraine should also develop this industry. This will serve as a solid foundation for the development of small- and medium-sized businesses by attracting citizens’ free funds. The demand for cheaper and affordable loans in countries with struggling economies is always high since bank loans are so expensive. The existing experience did not demonstrate the significant success in the development of P2P lending in Ukraine. The surfacing using flux-cored wire finds a wide application in many branches of industry and, first of all, in the repair works. At the present time the largest manufacturer of flux-cored wires for surfacing in Ukraine is the enterprise «TM. VELTEK». In the present work the developments of this enterprise and the experience of their use in repair surfacing of rolls of rolling stands, CCM rollers, wheel cranes and also the rollers of straightening machines and critical parts of hydraulic supports of mining equipment are described. 20 Ref., 3 Tables, 7 Figures. The article discusses the issue of nuclear weapons on Ukraine's territory and the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances in connection with Ukraine's accession to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. It mentions the willingness of the government of Ukraine to relinquish the nuclear weapons stationed on its territory. It also notes the Trilateral Statement signed by Russia, Ukraine, and the U.S. under which Ukraine undertook to have all nuclear warheads removed from its territory.

Multiyear dynamics (1991–2001 ) of 137Cs content in bilberry and cranberry in Ukrainian Polessye was analyzed. Essential decrease of 137Cs content in all berry-plants during the period of investigations was revealed. Duration of effective ecological period of half-selfcleaning of berry-plants from 137Cs was calculated: for berries of bilberry - 7.46 years (for forest type B3) and 12.58 years (for forest type B4); for cranberry berries - 5.99 years (for forest type A5) and 9.54 years (for forest type B4). The article presents the study on the economic-legal socialization of future specialists taking place in educational institutions. Discloses the need to transform vocational education into professional education and training. Hence, there is rising attention to the interdisciplinary approach in education that provides the development of entrepreneurial skills in students. The article also discusses the sociopsychological and economic-legal importance of entrepreneurship in the development of society. Shows that today's labor market demonstrates the increased interest in different forms of entrepreneurial activities and requires the effective training of future specialists to the establishment and operation of business activities. Abstract: Results are presented for 137Cs, 90Sr and plutonium activity concentrations in more than 20 samples of terrestrial invertebrates, including species of beetles, ants, spiders and millipedes, collected in the highly contaminated area of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. The majority of samples were collected in Belarus, with some also collected in the Ukraine. Three other samples were collected in an area of lower contamination. Results show that seven samples exceed an activity concentration of 100kBq/kg (ash weight – a.w.) for 137Cs. The maximum activity concentration for this isotope was 1.52±0.08MBq/kg (a.w.) determined in ants (Formica cynerea). Seven results for 90Sr exceeded 100kBq/kg (a.w.), mostly for millipedes. Relatively high plutonium activity concentrations were found in some ants and earth-boring dung beetles. Analyses of activity ratios showed differences in transfer of radionuclides between species. To reveal the correlation structure of the multivariate data set, the Partial Least-Squares method (PLS) was used. Results of the PLS model suggest that high radiocesium activity concentrations in animal bodies can be expected mainly for relatively small creatures living on the litter surface. In contrast, high strontium activity concentrations can be expected for creatures which conduct their lives within litter, having mixed trophic habits and a moderate lifespan.
