Abstract

The article reports on a study conducted by the cloud service provider Akamai on the increasing attempts of security risks such as distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack with the increasing broadband speeds. Topics discussed include 149G-bps attack observed against a gaming industry customer, several countries that were the source of attacks such as Great Britain and China; and the transport method used by most of the attacks was Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).
