The article discusses English author Mary Shelley, focusing especially on her experiences editing the correspondence of her husband poet Percy Bysshe Shelley after his death, as recounted in her journal. It considers Mary's childhood education in classic literature, both the intellectual and physical relationship between the Shelleys, and Mary's studies in Greek language that began with her husband and continued after his death. It also considers the poems "Adonais" and "Prometheus Unbound" by Percy Bysshe as well as the novel "The Last Man" by Mary.
