The article discusses the authors' efforts to debunk several myths regarding scholarly writing by American law school students, focusing on issues related to preparations for the practice of law in the U.S., as well as articles for law school journals and writing skills for prospective attorneys in America. The teaching of scholarly writing is examined in relation to a U.S. legal education and problem-solving skills. Law reviews and the composing of legal briefs and memoranda are mentioned.
