Abstract

The article reflects on how prepared are the health care institutions in the U.S. to respond any H1N1 influenza outbreak. He cites that health care epidemiology community should be responsible to evaluate specific policies regarding H1N1. An overview of the study conducted by E. Lautenbach and colleague on the members of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America is presented. He believes that assessments of the epidemiology community will be critical as the influenza season continues.
