Abstract: The article examines host utilization and distribution of nubenocephalid gregarines that live on the odonate genus Argia as parasites in the central U.S. An ecotypic gregarine assemblage was represented by these patterns of host utilization, demonstrating that nubenocephalid gregarines do not differentiate between species of Argia as hosts. A table showing the collecting sites with sample size and prevalence is presented. The species are broadly distributed which utilize a range of argid class.

Abstract: The article reports on the presence of Enallagma dubium (Burgundy Bluet) species in Arkansas. The species had been found in southeastern Oklahoma, eastern Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, and generally regarded as rare throughout its range on account of being specialized to heavily vegetated shallow lakes and ponds.
