Abstract

Presents the holotype new species, Bananogmius ellisensis new species, from the Blue Hill Shale Member (Upper Cretaceous, middle Middle Turonian) of the Carlile Shale Formation in western Kansas. Condition of the preservation of the specimen: Bananogmius as an addition to the osteichthyan fish taxa of the Blue Hill Shale fauna.
