The article focuses on the issues in solving cellphone crimes in the U.S. It provides tips for detectives on proper handling of the mobile phones found at a crime scene. It explains the disadvantage of a synchronization tools and the significance of random access memory (RAM) chips built into the phones and the subscriber identity module (SIM) built to the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). It discusses ways on getting data from a mobile phone associated with Internet surfing.
