The efficacy of two public service announcements from Phase V of the "America Responds to AIDS" (ARTA) campaign was assessed at two sites. Participants were randomly assigned to view a local news program, one with an ARTA public service announcement appearing six times and the other with no AIDS public service announcements. During telephone interviews with 907 participants 1 to 3 nights after viewing, 21% at Site A and 59% at Site B could correctly recall the ARTA public service announcements. Background: Bevacizumab is used for the treatment of advanced malignant tumors; it acts by inhibiting angiogenesis. This study aimed to examine adverse events (AEs) of bevacizumab, especially hemorrhage, using the Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database., Research Design and Methods: The reporting odds ratio (ROR) and proportional reporting ratio (PRR) were used to analyze the AEs of bevacizumab using FAERS registration data from January 2004 to September 2022. Clinical information regarding hemorrhagic signals was further analyzed., Results: The number of bevacizumab-associated AE reports was 96,477. Our study found that 892 significant preferred terms (PTs) were spread throughout 25 organ systems. The system organ classes (SOCs) focus on general disorders, administration site conditions, blood and lymphatic system disorders, injury, poisoning, and procedural complications. A total of 2,847 bevacizumab-related hemorrhage cases were reported, and 37 hemorrhagic signals were identified. Hemorrhagic signals were focused on SOC levels in vascular, gastrointestinal, and nervous system disorders. Colorectal, lung, and breast cancers are the three most common malignancies associated with BV-induced hemorrhage., Conclusion: The AE report from the present study confirms the majority of label information for bevacizumab, while also identifying new AEs. In addition, this was a large descriptive study of bevacizumab-induced hemorrhage.

The protection of patients' health information is a very important concern in the information age. The purpose of this study is to ascertain what constitutes an effective legal framework in protecting both the security and privacy of health information, especially electronic medical records. All sorts of bills regarding electronic medical data protection have been proposed around the world including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of the U.S. The trend of a centralized bill that focuses on managing computerized health information is the part that needs our further attention. Under the sponsor of Taiwan's Department of Health (DOH), our expert panel drafted the "Medical Information Security and Privacy Protection Guidelines", which identifies nine principles and entails 12 articles, in the hope that medical organizations will have an effective reference in how to manage their medical information in a confidential and secured fashion especially in electronic transactions.
